With the 1.6 updates, the game has now stabilized and been optimized for better gameplay. With that said, you can obtain the New Iconic Weapon by doing the New Gig, Concrete Cage Trap.
Obtaining the Iconic Weapon Hypercritical
The Concrete Cage Trap is located in Watson in the Night City. You can either fast-travel to Kennedy North or Sutter ST to reach the area. Keep in mind that the place is hostile, and enemies will attack you on sight.
