Throne & Liberty: How to Enter the Amitoi House

They made this way too confusing than it has to be, so let me help you!

Throne & Liberty is almost completely out for western regions via the global release on Steam, and there are already a few relatively minor issues being discovered by early access players. Among them is the confusing methods for entering the Amitoi house. In this guide, we’ll very quickly go through two different ways you can do it, depending on your control scheme.

How to Enter the Amitoi House

Before we get right to it, it’s worth noting that this might be different depending on whether you are on the Steam version or the NCSoft version (in case you’re from SEA, like me). I’ll try to cover all the currently known ways for both controller and keyboard players.

Mouse & Keyboard Players

Once you have summoned your Amitoi, you should see an icon along your hotbar that looks just like the one you just summoned. When you hover over this button, it will show you the current companion you have, and a smaller house icon which indicates that it is a teleport function.

Click on it and your character should start channeling a teleport spell. This will take you directly to the Amitoi house after just a few seconds, and you can leave this safe zone by clicking on the exit icon on the right hand corner of the screen.

Controller Players (NCSoft & Steam Version)

For people using a controller, the method is a little more complicated mainly due to there being absolutely no tutorial explaining it. Basically, just follow these steps:

Steam Version – L2 / Left Trigger Menu

First, hold L2 or the Left Trigger button (whichever applies to your controller). This will bring up a radial menu called Quick Menu 1. You will then need to switch off to the next menu by pressing L3 (left analog stick), all while still holding L2 or LT.

Once you are in Quick Menu 2, flick your right analog stick over to the icon on the upper right to select the Amitoi House teleport option. From here, just let go of all controls and your character will start channeling the teleportation spell.

That’s really all there is to it, and as many have noted how unintuitive it is, this may change in a hotfix eventually. Keep an eye out for any new patch notes if ever.

NCSoft / Purple Launcher Version – Streamlined Method

For those playing on the NCSoft servers via the Purple Launcher, which is where Southeast Asian players are directed to (you can’t play via Steam without a VPN), the method is the same, but there is a quick alternative way.

To access the Amitoi House, you need to hold L2 / Left Trigger and then press Triangle / Y or whichever equivalent is on the top of the right side of your controller (e.g. Nintendo style controllers by 8bitdo will have “X” up there).

This will bring up a new menu at the top right corner of the screen. Use your directional pad to navigate to the Amitoi Expedition option and then press X / A orwhichever is at the bottom of the action buttons of your controller.

Finally, just long press that same button and your character will start channeling a teleportation spell that will bring you to the Amitoi House. Nice and quick, as it should be!

And that is everything you need to know in order to get into the Amitoi House, barring any sudden updates that simplifies the process. While you’re here, check out our guide on various important settings to tweak in Throne & Liberty to further address some of the game’s other unusual default controls.

Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
