The Blood of the Daedra quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered tasks you with finding a Daedric Artifact, pointing at Azura’s Shrine as a likely source.

Well, the books that give you the information aren’t wrong. Going to Azura’s Shrine and completing certain steps will indeed reward you with Azura’s Star, one of the Daedric Artifacts. However, knowing what to do at the shrine itself isn’t quite that simple.

Fret not, though! Just read on and we’ll tell you everything you need to do for this quest.

Complete the Blood of the Daedra Quest at Azura’s Shrine | Oblivion Remastered

Right after you talk with Martin and read the book he has, the quest will start. At this point, you should see Azura’s Shrine marked on your map as well. It’s directly north of Cheydinhal in The Jerall Mountains, as you can see in the map above. That’s where you need to be.

Once you reach Azura’s Shrine, you’ll find a few people hanging around the area. If you wish, you can talk to them, but they aren’t particularly forthcoming. Optionally, you can get your Disposition with Mels Maryon there to 50 or more for some information. However, that’s not mandatory for the quest.

Whether you heard it from Mels Maryon or not, what you need to do here is offer Glow Dust to the shrine at either dawn (5-7 AM) or dusk (5-7 PM). Again, it doesn’t matter if you get the info from the NPCs or not, you can offer it regardless.

To get the Glow Dust, look around the shrine’s immediate vicinity. You should spot a Will-o-the-Wisp or two floating around. They appear as golden sparkling orbs of light, as shown above. Attack it and kill it, it should drop Glow Dust as a reward.

Then, talk to the statue at Azura’s Shrine and offer it the Glow Dust at either 5-7 AM or 5-7 PM. If it’s not currently either of these timeframes, you’ll need to wait until then.

Doing Azura’s Will

Once you offer the Glow Dust to the statue, you’ll hear a voice. It will point you to a Gutted Mine, which is directly southwest of Azura’s Shrine. This will also start the “Azura” quest. To complete the quest, go to the mine. It’s apparently full of vampires, and your task is to go there and kill them all. It’s as simple as that!

Do be warned that vampires can potentially inflict you with Vampirism if they hit you. If that happens and you wish to clear it, check out our guide on how to cure the Vampire status.

After you clear the mine of vampires, return to Azura’s Shrine and speak with the statue again. It will thank you for your service and reward you with Azura’s Star. This is one of the Daedric Artifacts that you can give to Martin to complete the Blood of the Daedra quest.

So, there you have it! That completes the Azura’s Shrine portion of the Blood of the Daedra quest in Oblivion Remastered. However, it’s worth considering if you really want to turn in the Azura’s Star to Martin to finish the quest.

Azura’s Star essentially works as a reusable Grand Soul Gem, which makes it extremely valuable for Enchanting items. As such, we personally recommend waiting until you get a more disposable Daedric Artifact and giving that to Martin instead. Keeping Azura’s Star for yourself is ideal if you plan to make good use of the Enchanting system. Of course, that’s just our recommendation, here. Either way, this part of the quest is done!
