Kingdom Come Deliverance 2has a lot of horses to collect as you progress through the story, and while you do not necessarily need to find and acquire all of them, getting the best ones will make your life a little easier. With that in mind, here are some of the best mounts that Henry can get in the game, listed in no particular order.
The Ten Best Horses That Have Good Stats
Before we get into the actual list, it should be noted that Pebbles, which is Henry’s original mount, is actually the best horse in terms of value and how early you can get her.
That is because you can get Pebbles for free, and you can unlock a perk for her that makes her significantly better. Seriously, she is on par with some of the absolute top mounts in the game, so do not pass up on the chance to get her back.
With all of that said, there are a lot of other options to find and earn or buy throughout the game. Below are ten options you can consider, as well as their base stats, which NPC to look for, and which village or city they are in:
Horse #1. Mark (Groom Hanna – Grund) – Mark is a fairly well-rounded mount with a stamina of 231, a high capacity of 358 and a decent amount of courage. His only downside is his speed of 41.
Horse #2. Kincsem (Groom Hanniker – Kuttenberg) – Kinscem has a whopping 235 stamina and a speed of 60. The only downside is that it has a relatively low capacity and courage.
Horse #3. Khartoum (Groom Hashtal – Old Lhota) – Khartoum has a decently high stamina of 210, as well as a capacity of 208 and a speed of 53. Overall, it is a decent choice due to its well-rounded stats.
Horse #4. Pisek Lad (Groom Hanniker – Kuttenberg) – Pisek Lad is also from Groom Hanniker, and it is almost the polar opposite of Kincsem as it has a capacity of 338 and a whopping 23 courage.
Horse #5. Meadow (Bandit Camp West of Kuttenberg) – This horse is actually owned by bandits, and you can get it for free as long as you sneak into the camp or clear out the area yourself. It has great stats all around, including a high capacity of 358.
Horse #6. Bill (Groom Hanna – Grund) – Bill is a fairly cheap option that has 338 capacity. If you just need a pack mule of sorts, this is a good budget option. The rest of its stats are mediocre, however.
Horse #7. Erdel (Groom Hashtal – Old Lhota) – Erdel has the highest capacity and courage of all the horse options in the game. The downside is its low stamina of 140 and maybe the slightly above average speed.
Horse #8. Artax (Groom Hashtal – Old Lhota) – Artax has pretty low capacity and just barely okay speed, but it has a courage of 28 and a stamina of 227, so it can be a niche option if you need a cheap horse that will not panic and run away at the sight of enemies.
Horse #9. Crow (Groom Hashtal – Old Lhota) – Hashtal has a bunch of good offerings, and Crow is another. This magnificent steed has pretty decent stats all around except for its capacity of 138, which is a bit on the low end.
Horse #10. Herring(Reward from Main Questline) – Herring can be earned for free through the Back in the Saddle quest. Its base stats are pretty low, but if you ride him for a total of 50 kilometers, he gets a perk just like Pebbles, which boosts his stats by a huge amount (except courage).
And those are some of the best horses that you can get in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, both overall and for niche situations. Our recommendation is to really just stick with either Pebbles or Herring. With their unlockable perks, they are easily the best horses in the game in terms of raw value because you get them for free.
Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
