As you might guess, the Farmer Life allows you to make use of farming. Grow your own crops, such as potatoes and onions, which you can then use to cook meals. This Life goes hand-in-hand with the Cook Life, as you can see!

How to Unlock The Farmer Life | Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time
The good news to unlock the Farmer Life is that it actually happens naturally through progressing in the game’s campaign. More specifically, you need to complete Chapter 4-21: Visit the Elder Tree.
At that point, you’ll have finished making and giving a soup to the Elder Tree. Thankfully, all of the cooking and gathering for this portion of the story is more or less automatic. It primarily serves as a tutorial on farming, so just follow the in-game instructions! Either way, you’ll receive the Spirit Hoe as a reward for completing Chapter 4-21.
Once you’ve received the Spirit Hoe, return to the Guild Office in Eternia Village and talk to Auntie Anne there. Select to Change Life and you should see the Farmer Life unlock for you. You can now switch to the Farmer Life whenever you wish!
Switching to the Farmer Life will also unlock the Farmer’s Story tutorial, “From Farmers, With Love”. To start theat, go meet Inaji the Farmer in Idylla Village. Much like the Life story quests for all the other Lives in the game, this functions as a tutorial for his Life. However, it doesn’t explain how to grow your own crops, but you’ll get a tutorial pop-up for that whenever you return to your Base Camp.
That’s all you need to know to be able to unlock and use the new Farmer Life in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. This is one of the two new Lives in this game, with the other one being the Artist. If you want that as well, check out our guide on how to unlock the Artist Life.
Gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
