You can get the Chief Terror Bird Egg as one of the Exploration Codex tasks for the Nesting Grounds region in Throne & Liberty.

However, reaching the egg is surprisingly challenging. The game expects you to glide from a far-off location. However, failing to stick the landing means you have to travel quite a lot just to try again. Thankfully, though, there are alternate ways to reach the egg!

In this guide, we’ll tell you the intended way to get the Chief Terror Bird Egg as well as a potential workaround if that method fails for you.

How To Get The Chief Terror Bird Egg | Throne & Liberty Guide

Officially speaking, you’re supposed to use your Glide Morph to get the Chief Terror Bird Egg in Throne & Liberty. Just like the description for the “One Flew Over the Terror Bird’s Nest” Codex task states, you want to start from the Starlight Observatory Ruins, marked above.

From there, use your Glide Morph and glide directly southwest toward the Nesting Grounds. Aim for the Terror Bird Nests in the Nesting Grounds as you glide.

You need to land where the egg is, on the circular part of the nest between the rocks. However, this is much easier said than done. As a recommendation, it’s best to try to “crash” into the egg or the nest instead of trying to land gracefully. Just be careful not to overshoot and glide past the egg!

Alternatively, though, clever players have already found a workaround to avoid having to deal with gliding. If you can’t manage to land on the nest yourself, you should instead try climbing up the rocks from the eastern side. It’s very finicky, but you can manage to just keep climbing the rock by jumping.

Once you’re near the top of the rock, go around to the northeastern part of the rock and you should find a small ledge to stand on.

From that ledge, jump down onto another ledge on the rocks further north. Use your Glide Morph if you need to get an extra split second of airtime. This will put you right next to the Chief Terror Bird Egg!

Whatever method you choose, enter the nest and grab the Chief Terror Bird Egg to get the reward for this arduous Exploration Codex task in Throne & Liberty.

Worth noting, you can also complete the “Open Nesting Grounds” Exploration Codex tasks while you’re in this area!
