If you are a fan of Rifles, you are going to love this latest instalment from GTA 5. The M16 just made its debut on the list of guns to collect for your character.

In this guide, we will show you how to unlock this classic weapon to wreak mayhem against your enemies.

How to Unlock the M16 in GTA 5 Online

To unlock the rifle, you have to collect five weapon components. You can find them in one of the 10 possible crime scene locations in the game.

For the crime scenes to spawn, you have to be in the free roam session for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes have passed, crime scenes will spawn and you can check and explore these possible locations where a weapon component will show up.

Collect Weapon Components at Crime Scenes

Crime scenes are easily recognizable, all you have to do is to check the area where a police cruiser will be parked with flashing lights.

When you get close to a crime scene, a blue dot will appear where you can interact to get the weapon component. Not all crime scene locations have the component so you need to check each location when they are available.

Once you collect the weapon component, head out and create a new session. Then, wait for another 20 minutes for the crime scene to spawn. To speed things up, you can also connect with your friends after you spawn a crime scene so you can collect possible weapon components in their game.

Customize the M16 at Ammunation

Once you collect all 5 weapon components, the weapon will appear in your hands and you would be able to use the M16 Service Carbine in your game.

You can also customize your weapon by going to Ammunation. After that, outfit your new Sevice Carbine with upgrades and stock up on ammo before testing it out.
