290 articlesThe latest expansion for Genshin Impact brings with it a ton of exciting and powerful bosses, with one of the most powerful being the Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis. Other than the boss fight itself, finding this boss is also pretty difficult, as the boss fight is hidden behind a puzzle.
To help you find the boss, we will be looking at what you need to do to solve the puzzle, and where the puzzle can be found. So without further delay, let’s get straight into it.
Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis Location
You can find the puzzle you need to solve in Huitztli Hill. Solving the puzzle will reveal the Nightsoul Totem, and you can interact with this Totem to start the boss fight.
Solving the Puzzle
When you get to the marked location, make your way towards the tree house in the middle of this area. Just outside this tree house, you will find a rock with a bunch of crystals on it. You will need to slam onto this rock and destroy the crystals on it to start the puzzle.

Underground Creature #1
After you clear the rock of the crystals on it, look behind you to find an interactable yellow light.
Interacting with this light will help you guide the underground creature towards the rock you need to get it to. You will need to interact with it twice before it gets to the rock.
Underground Creature #2
The second underground creature can be found inside the huge tree in front of you. You can get inside this tree using the wooden ladder beside the rock you destroyed the crystals on. After climbing the ladder, look for a small opening in the tree.
Once you are inside, you will need to pick up the Grappling Hook on top of a rock. The second Underground Creature will also be here, but you don’t need to interact with it yet.
With the Grappling Hook in your possession, go outside the opening you came in from and head towards the other entrance to this area you just got out of. This entrance will be blocked by a stone block, which you can move using a Yumkasaur. So attach the grappling hook to the stone block and take control of a Yumkasaur.
Once the stone block is out of the way, you can make the Underground Creature go to the same rock the first one went to using the special fire bomb that the Yumkasaur can use.
Underground Creature #3
While facing the large tree in the area, look to your right and you will find an interactable object coming out of the ground, and you can interact with it using the Yumkasaur’s grappling hook. Grappling onto this creature will lead to straight towards the rock the first 2 went to.
With all 3 Underground Creatures done, make your way back to the rock you guided the creatures to. A Nightsould Totem will spawn in the middle, which you can interact with to start the Ichcahuipilli Aegis boss fight.
