Following the announcement of Palfarm, the new upcoming game from the developers behind Palworld, people were quick to point out the similarities between Palfarm and Nintendo’s upcoming game, Pokopia.
Pokopia, which was announced just two weeks ago, is a spinoff game from the Pokemon franchise where you build a cozy community to house various Pokemons. Just one week after the announcement, Pocketpair has also announced the new project they’re working on in the form of Palfarm.
The comparisons aren’t surprising though, as both games do share some similar mechanics. However, being able to have something ready for announcement just a week after Pokopia was announced is downright impossible.
In its description, Palfarm is marketed as a game where players can “turn fields into full-functioning farms solo or in online multiplayer.” On the other hand, Pokopia focuses on creating a cozy environment for various Pokemons by collecting different crafting materials.
Due to people comparing both games, Palworld’s communications director Bucky took to X to share his sentiments.
“But I’m surprised how many people think we’re wizard-level developers able to make a game in 1 week.” He also added that “the same people who “REEE POCKETPAIR” are the same people thinking we made an entire game in 1 week.”

It can be remembered that Pocketpair and Nintendo are not in good terms right now, especially with the lawsuits still going on.
For now, you be the judge and check out both games’ trailers to see for yourself. There are no further details for both games yet at the moment.
