With the introduction of Terraria’sLabor of Love update, comes brand new worlds, items, and achievements to unlock. One such world is the Aether Mini Biome. It features a unique star-filled sky background effect and includes a large pool of Shimmer in its center. The Aether is the only source of Shimmer in the game before you defeat the Moon Lord. So, what are you waiting for?

This guide will help you find this exciting new world without getting lost in Terraria’s diverse worlds. Let’s dive in.

How to Find the Aether Mini Biome in Terraria 1.4.4

To find the Aether, you must create a brand new seed world.  A previous world will not have the new Aether area spawn since it’s from a previous update.

Once you have created your world, proceed to your world’s ocean biome. If you’re confused about whether to go left or right,  a good tip is that the aether will generate on the same side as your jungle biome.

Additionally, it will never generate closer than 200 tiles to the edge of the world so it’s important to keep that in mind.

However, in Drunk worlds, it will skip checking the first area which causes the Aether to generate in a wider variety of horizontal locations but less varied vertical locations.

Afterward, dig down around roughly 300 blocks. Finally, continue digging down, until you find yourself inside the Aether.

Finding the Aether is as easy as that! Remember that the Aether is a rare biome that only generates once per world. So make use of it as you can.
