The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has just gotten a remastered version, and it comes packed with every single expansion pack and DLC, such as Knights of the Nine. One of the quests involved in this expansion pack is called Pilgrimage, in which you must go on a journey to visit a shrine of each of the Nine Divines. In this guide, we will be showing you how to complete this part of the quest.

All 9 Wayshrines of the Divines Locations | Pilgrimage Quest

Although there are only 9 divines, hence the need to visit 9 location, there are actually plenty of shrines that you can visit. In fact, almost all of them have at least three different wayshrines each, with the exception of two who have an extra one, totaling to four for each of that pair.

This is actually incredibly simple, and you do not need too much guidance. Simply head to any location that contains a wayshrine and interact with it to get the respective deity’s blessing and add progress to the quest.

All in all, there are 29 wayshrines to visit. If you are curious as to where they all are, here is the entire map of Oblivion showing the location of every single one you can go to:

Now, the kicker is that you have to visit one for each of the Divines, so you obviously cannot just visit random wayshrines and praying at 9 of them, since there is a high chance that you’ll be running into duplicates.

Instead, you can try this specific order based on their proximity in the map:

By following the map above, you will be interacting with the following deity’s wayshrines from left to right, as well as what bonus they will give you in case you are curious about that aspect:

  • Wayshrine #1 (Arkay) – Fortify your health by 10 points for several minutes
  • Wayshrine #2 (Mara) – Fortify your willpower by 10 point for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #3 (Akatosh) – Fortifies both your speed and magicka by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #4 (Zenithar) – Fortifies your luck by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #5 (Talos) – Fortifies your strength by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #6 (Stendarr) – Fortifies your endurance by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #7 (Kynareth) – Fortifies your agility by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #8 (Julianos) – Fortifies both your intelligence and magicka by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #9 (Dibella) – Fortifies your personality by 10 points for several minutes. This is the one beside Chorrol, at the end of the path shown above.

As you can see, this pathing above covers every single deity, allowing you to complete the Pilgrimage quest, or at least this part of it, in a fairly structured manner. Just note that the actual path you will walk on is not going to be straightforward. This is a mere suggestion based on how close they are to one another.

If you ever encounter any issues with any of the altars, which a lot of players seem to be claiming likely due to confusion or a very rare bug, just try other altars in the map. You will know that you are done if you get the objective to “pray” and wait for a “vision”.

And that is all there is to it. If you are still running around on foot, consider checking out our guide on how to find and claim the unicorn in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. It works just like it did in the original version of the game, so if you have played before, then you are probably already very familiar with this mythical steed.

He is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next game to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game.
