These goggles allow you to see the heat signatures of everything around you, and they can even be used to see in the dark. They can be pretty helpful to help spot enemies and critters hiding in the jungle, too, so they’re quite handy! We’ll tell you where to find these goggles so you don’t miss them.
Thermal Goggles Location | Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Your first task to get the Thermal Goggles during Operation Snake Eater is to simply progress through the game. More specifically, progress until you meet with EVA at Rassvet. After watching the cutscene there, you’ll wake up in the room where Sokolov was during the Virtuous Mission.
Once you wake up, just open the locker on the southwestern side of the room to find the Thermal Goggles inside. Pick them up and they’re all yours for the rest of the game!

- Ponizovje Warehouse – In the southwestern corner of the bottom floor, near where you find the Desert Facepaint.
- Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab East Wing – In the room where all the regular scientists are.
Additionally, you can also find them during the Virtuous Mission prologue. If you want them during that, they’re in Dremuchij North inside a hollowed-out trunk on the northwestern corner of the area. That said, you’ll lose them shortly afterwards and they’re not much use at that point in the game…
Nonetheless, that’s all you need to know about the location of the Thermal Goggles in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater! We highly recommend picking these up ASAP, as they can be particularly useful during one of the game’s boss fights.
