With that in mind, the items that you find in each level might not be in the spots that you remember them being found at all those years back. Fortunately, the SVD’s location hasn’t changed, so here is how you find it.
Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater – SVD Weapon (Sniper) Location
Before we begin, make sure to check out our guide on how to find all the Kerotans and Ga-kos in the Ponizovje zone of Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater. Specifically, you will want to pay attention to the part where you have to go through the southern part of this level. You may as well grab the collectibles along the way first.
Now, as you approach the next zone transition, take a left first before you make it to the objective. This will take you through another relatively long walk, but at the end, you will find a small pier with an enterable structure beside it.
There, you will find a yellow door that you can open. Inside, there will be a whole bunch of supplies on the ground, including the SVD Dragunov sniper rifle. That is pretty much all there is to it, but this is only one of the ways to get this weapon.

You can also get the SVD by simply heading to the right as soon as you enter the Dremuchij North area. Literally just run to the right in that zone and you will find it on the ground at the very end of the path.
There are a whole lot of other collectibles and weapons to discover all throughout the rest of the game.
