21 articlesIt wouldn’t be MGS without the Cardboard Box, and there are three of them you can find in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. These boxes are spread in various locations throughout the game; collecting them lets you put them on. A classic stealth tactic that any fan of the series is well aware of, this lets Snake disguise himself in the environment! Read on for the location of all 3 Cardboard Box locations.
All Cardboard Box Locations | Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Cardboard Box A – Rassvet
The very first Cardboard Box you can get is early on in the game, when you reach Rassvet during Operation Snake Eater. Go to the northernmost room of the abandoned building.
You’ll see the C BOX A pickup there, floating right above some wooden crates. Just climb up the crates and grab the Cardboard Box, it’s all yours for the taking!
If you happen to mix this box at Rassvet, you can find it later when you reach Ponizovje Warehouse. It will be near the Bandages on the northern corner of the bottom floor there.

Cardboard Box B – Tikhogornyj
Next up, you can find this Cardboard Box once you reach the Tikhogornyj: Behind Waterfall area. This is pretty far into the game, too, so you’ll need to make decent progress in the story to get there.
Either way, you just have to go to the northernmost end of the Tikhogornyj: Behind Waterfall area. The C BOX B pick up will be floating there, in front of the dead end.
As a bonus, you can use this box to “fast travel.” Get into an open truck when you return to Groznyj Grad and equip the box. The guards will think you’re just some goods to deliver and will take you directly to the Main Hangar. This does, however, also mean skipping some sections of the base. If you want to 100% the game, you’ll need to backtrack to grab anything you missed anyway…
Cardboard Box C – Groznyj Grad
Last but not least, you can find this box in the southeastern corner of Groznyj Grad 1F. You have to go into the small alley shown above, directly past the torture room.
The C BOX C pick up will be there, hovering neatly in the middle of that alley.
Note that you can theoretically pick this up before Cardboard Box B. Due to plot reasons we won’t spoil, however, it’s best to pick it up on the second time you visit Groznyj Grad. Keep that in mind as you explore the base for the first time.
Nonetheless, that’s how to get every Cardboard Box in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater! Memes aside, they are actually not as useful in this as they are in other MGS games. Guards are pretty quick to just blow your disguise, sadly… but it’s still fun to play around with!
