Trosky Castle is one of the first areas you visit in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, so it’s ideal to explore near it to get to the best treasure locations when starting the game.
There’s a lot of useful loot near the castle, which is important considering what little Henry starts out with. There’s armor, valuables you can sell, weapons… even some fascinating lore books, for those who love reading about history!
In this guide, we’ll tell you the key treasure locations to visit while you’re near Trosky Castle.
Best Treasure Locations Near Trosky Castle | Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
There are a few things to go over before we start going over all the best treasure locations near Trosky Castle in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
Additionally, some treasures will require you to do some digging, so make sure to bring a spade. If you’re still early in the game, you can find one for free at the Troskowitz Cemetery.
Lastly, don’t worry if you already reached Kuttenberg and missed out on these treasures. You can actually return to Trosky from Kuttenberg. Just speak to the Coachman west of Suchdol on the western edge of the Kuttenberg region. Pay the 200 Groschen fee and he’ll bring you back to Trosky!
With all of that said, let’s now start going over all the worthwhile treasures near Trosky Castle.
Troskowitz Overgrown Dugout
You can find our first treasure location in the forest directly north of Troskowitz. Just go to the spot marked above and you’ll find a small building covered in overgrown plants. Enter it to find a chest in the dark.
The most notable thing in this chest is the Executioner’s Axe Sketch. It’s a Blacksmithing recipe for a pretty solid weapon, so it’s good to have! You’ll find a Leather Apron as well as a bit of Groschen and some Blacksmithing materials.
Crusaders of the Red Star Shrine
For this one, go to the spot marked above in between Zhelejov and Troskowitz. You’ll find a shrine by a grave there. Dig up the grave with your spade to claim the treasure buried there.
Note that this spot is tied to Blacksmith Radovan’s questline in Tachov. As such, it might not be available if you haven’t progressed his quest enough. It seems to become available specifically as part of “The Hermit” quest. However, some players report being able to loot it twice; once before the quest, and once after the quest. So, it might also be a bit buggy right now…
Nonetheless, the main item of interest here is the Crusaders of the Red Star Waffenrock. It’s a pretty solid piece of armor in the early game and fairly unique. On top of that, you’ll get some lore items pertaining to the Crusaders of the Red Star. If you like reading about the history of this game, it’s some pretty sweet loot!
Von Bergow Knights’ Fresh Graves
You can find this treasured spot directly southwest of Troskowitz. Just get to the marked spot and you’ll find 3 fresh graves close to each other. Use your spade to dig them all up and claim the loot inside.
These graves seemed to belong to knights serving Von Bergow. You’ll find two Von Bergow Knight Shields, which are pretty solid to use in the early game. There are also some basic weapons and clothing which can come in pretty handy if you’re just starting out. Pretty convenient, since this spot is so close to Troskowitz!
Skeleton with Treasure by Nomad’s Camp
For this one, go northwest from the Nomad’s Camp and climb the rocks in the spot we’ve marked above. You’ll encounter a skeleton hanging out with a sack full of treasure next to it. Open the sack to start looting!
You’ll mostly find valuables you can sell for a lot of Groschen in the sack. There’s a pair of Rings, with each one valued at 215.9 Groschen. Great for selling, if you don’t end up wearing them. More importantly, though, there’s also a Golden Cup which you can sell for around 770 Groschen. Not too shabby if you find yourself low on money, right?
Bandits at Kerchak Pond
This spot is directly north of Zhelejov. Go to the spot we marked on the map above and you’ll find a small camp with two bandits roaming about. Ideally, go to this spot at night so that you sneak and catch the bandits unaware. Otherwise, you’ll have to fight them head-on.
What makes this one of the best treasure locations near Trosky Castle in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is the quantity of loot you find. The bandits have a chest full of hoarded equipment, including multiple weapons and a couple of full sets of armor. They also have some Jewellery you can either wear or sell for Groschen, which is always welcome. To top it all off, you can the unique Unlucky Die here, too!
As a bonus, go a bit directly southeast from the bandit camp to find a hidden treasure under an outcropping. This treasure has the Golden Cross with Garnets necklace, which is great equipment and can also be sold for 660 Groschen. Wearing it can greatly boost your Charisma, so we recommend using it.
Vidlak’s Bandit Treasure
Our next treasure is related to the Vidlak’s Bandit Treasure map. However, you can grab it even if you have yet to find the map itself. You can find it in the northern part of the river in the Vidlak area. Just look in the water to find the chest next to a thin tree.
This washed-up chest is mostly worthwhile if you need some Groschen. You’ll find 300 Groschen within, as well as some valuables you can sell. The most notable of them is the Golden Crucifix, which is valued at 1430 Groschen!
Ruin in the Rocks by Apollonia
For this last location, go east of Trosky Castle and south of Apollonia. You’ll find some ruins near large rocks next to the main road there. There’s a single treasure chest on the northern part of the ruins, which is the treasure you seek.
The most notable items in this chest are a pair of Skill Books: Master’s Studies IV (Scholarship Level 15+) and Products of Skilled Hands III (Craftmanship Level 10+). These are great to further increase both of these Skills, so make sure to pick them up!
So, there you have it, that’s all of the best treasure locations we’ve found near Trosky Castle in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Make sure to loot all of these places early in the game to give yourself an advantage.
