With that in mind, the stuff that you find in each level might not be in the locations that you remember them being in all those years back. Whether or not that is the case, this guide will help you find where these collectibles are, specifically in your second visit to Rassvet.
All Kerotans & Ga-kos Rassvet (2nd Visit) in Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater
A little later after your first visit to Rassvet, you will be coming back here for story reasons. Just like the first time around, it will be really easy to find all of the collectibles here as it is still the same small map, for the most part anyway.
Once you enter the level, head up the stairs immediately. Just go all the way up to the top of the structure. There, you will find another box containing a weapon, which is the AK-47. Great news for players going for a lethal run.
Even if you are not going for a lethal run, you can empty the magazine of this weapon into the air. This will add an empty magazine to your inventory. This can be used as a distraction tool, so it is not completely useless!

Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater – All 3 Thermal Goggles LocationsAug 30, 2025Next, for the Kerotan and Ga-ko, refer to the map image below. The Kerotan is found right under the stairs, so just climb a few steps and look below to find it. For the Ga-ko, climb up the stairs and look towards the broken rebar to the east. You will find the Ga-ko sitting atop one of the broken pillars above.
There are also other pieces of equipment and face paint that you can find in and around the ruined structure, so do not forget to look around before you move on to the next part of the game!
The cardboard box, for example, is found atop some crates in the middle of the room where you found the Ga-ko during your first visit here. You can’t miss it, as it is floating in plain sight. The zombie face paint, on the other hand, is at the very corner at the back of the building. Thermal goggles can be found in one of the lockers here too.
