With that said, the collectibles that you find in each level might not be in the spots that you remember them being found at all those years back. In this guide, we will be going over the ones in Chyornyj.
All Kerotans & Ga-kos Chyornyj in Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater
Once you reach the little swamp area in Chyornyj, you will find that all of the stuff here is concentrated in small areas on or near land. As soon as you enter the zone, look around the ground and you will find most of the animals here, such as snakes and frogs.
There will also be a few items, like a smoke grenade, floating in the water in one corner. These are not really collectibles, but you may as well get them out of the way while you are here, as you will need to move further up for the actual “secrets”.
Now, to find the Ga-ko and Kerotan in this map, just refer to the image below to see their exact locations. Both of them are found in the same little edge of the map, but with a caveat.

It is impossible to miss with its duck figure sticking out from the tree. The Kerotan, however, is found underwater. Dive under the spot where the Ga-ko is found and look near the base of the tree. The Kerotan will be down there.
And that is really all there is to this level. There is also a GA-KO camo to be found at the north east part of the swamp. It will be slightly submerged in the shallow water, so just walk around in the spot where Snake is currently located in the map image above.
There are a whole lot of other collectibles to find all throughout the game.
