“Where Sky is Clear and Glory Shines: Guardian Tower” is one of the exploration quests in the Septimont region in Wuthering Waves 2.4. It requires you to climb a tower to help Isth, the Scourgewing. This quest is also full of lore tidbits, so it’s quite a neat one! Read on, we’ll tell you how to start and complete this full quest.
Where Sky is Clear and Glory Shines: Guardian Tower Quest Guide | Wuthering Waves
This exploration quest becomes available as soon as you finish Main Quest Chapter II Act V “Shadow of Glory” and unlock the Septimont region. Once you’ve done that, you can start the quest by going to the northernmost part of Septimont. It’s just west of Mournfell Canyon, as shown above.
Approach the big tower there and you should see a massive tower. Get close to the entrance to find a woman named Tulia, talk with her. She’ll introduce you to the Hero’s Slash mechanic.
After the conversation, approach the golden slashed circle and press the prompt it shows. It will start a small puzzle minigame of sorts.
To complete the minigame, just move the big golden slash line so that it crosses all of the floating rocks by the entrance. It should be a clean vertical slash, like in the example above.
Once you’ve completed the minigame, the barrier blocking you from entering the tower will be gone. Walk right into the tower and then turn to your right to see a peculiar painting in a corner. Interact with it to continue the quest.
After that, follow the quest marker to go deeper into the tower. You’ll need to fight some Tacet Discords and other enemies next, as well as at other points in the quest, so always be ready for combat!
As soon as you defeat the foes, look for a golden piece of armor in the room. It’s directly opposite of the entrance, so it’s easy to spot! Interact with it to investigate it.
Climbing Up!
Next up, look around the room after interacting with the armor and you should see a wooden walkway. Climb up to it and follow the linear path it takes you through.
Once you reach the top of this path, you’ll see yet another Hero’s Slash minigame. It works the same as before but it has three rocks. Nonetheless, just align your slash so that it’s diagonally crossing all three stones at once and you’re done. This will allow you to pull down the wooden barrier blocking the main path up.
Follow the quest marker here and you’ll eventually reach another small group of Tacet Discords. Take them out and you’ll then receive the objective to “observe the scene outside the window.” For that, just look toward the center of the tower, to the spot shown above. However, this objective also seems to just complete automatically shortly after killing the enemies.
Either way, go back to following the quest marker after that. Pull down the wooden barricade and enter the next room.
Then, as soon as you enter the room, turn to your left to see another painting. Inspect it, as Tulia instructs you to. After that, just go up the stairs in the room to reach the upper level.
You’ll see Isth wrapped in strange threads the moment you reach the top of the stairs. Use the nearby Hero’s Slash sigil to start another minigame.
This time, you need to do a full horizontal slash across the 3 rocks there. However, this Hero’s Slash is known to be quite buggy, with players reporting that there are less than 3 rocks spawning. If that happens, teleport to any other area and then return. Nonetheless, it should look like the example above.
Time to Go Down, It Seems!
After that Hero’s Slash puzzle, jump on the central platform in the room and check up on Isth. You will be directed to jump off the platform and go to the small ledge below, which is close to where Isth’s head lays. Just glide down there, you’ll be safe!
Go into the room from the ledge and you’ll need to eliminate another group of enemies. Do so to continue the “Where Sky is Clear and Glory Shines: Guardian Tower” quest in Wuthering Waves. Interact with the painting and the golden blade in the room after defeating the enemies.
Follow the quest marker when you’re told to pull down another wooden barrier and reach the adjacent room. Turn to your right as soon as you enter that room and then inspect yet another painting. Whoever was doing these paintings was quite prolific, honestly!
Some enemies will spawn as soon as you’re done investigating the painting. Take them all out as revenge for them getting the jump on you. When they’re dealt with, interact with the golden item on the pedestal to absorb it. Then, just continue to follow the quest marker to get deeper into the tower.
Shortly after that, you’ll reach a room with an enemy, as well as another painting and a golden spear. Defeat the enemy however you see fit, then interact with the painting and the spear, in that order.
Broken Platforms and Beyond
Follow the quest marker after interacting with the golden spear and you’ll be taken to a room with broken platforms. Jump on the broken platform to your right, first. Use it to reach the platform in the center with the Hero’s Slash sigil.
This Hero’s Slash puzzle works a bit differently. The stones are far too spread out to defeat with a single slash, at least normally. However, you’ve collected enough Recollections of Heroes, which were all the golden equipment from before. So, this time you just need to hold down the Hero’s Slash to charge it up and then release it. You will break all the stones in one single go!
After that, a Wingray will spawn right next to you. Interact with it to ride it, it will carry you higher up the tower and back to where Isth is. Interact with Isth as soon as you land on its platform to give it the recollections you’ve obtained.
With that done, follow Isth’s instructions by jumping off the platform to the spot shown above.
Then, just follow the stairs up using the Cuddle Wuddle jump spots that Isth leads you to.
This will lead you to a doorway, which takes you to the tower’s exterior. Go through it, as Tulia tells you.
As soon as you go out, you’ll get a QTE prompt. Press it and the camera will turn to the side as Isth’s specter appears to guide you. Just keep moving right while pressing the QTE prompts that appear and you’ll eventually reach a pavilion.
One Last Cut!
Your character will take note of a golden sword there as soon as you land. Interact with the sword to charge up your Hero’s Slash one last time.
As soon as you’ve done that, another Hero’s Slash sigil will appear by the pavilion. Simply interact with this sigil and you will automatically perform a cute, severing the prison of hate and grief!
Right after that, look down and jump down to the lower section of the tower. You’ll find a Tidal Supply Chest with 1 Lustrous Tide there for you, as well as a final item left behind by Isth. Collect Isth’s item to finish the quest.
That’s all you need to do complete the “Where Sky is Clear and Glory Shines: Guardian Tower” quest in Wuthering Waves 2.4. Completion of this quest will automatically unlock and start the “When the Sky Watches us Meet” quest.
