Where to Get a Flame Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds has a lot of resources that you need to gather in order to craft full sets of gear or weapons that you might want to use, and among these is the flame sac. If you are struggling to find one of these, this guide will help by nudging you in the right direction so you can start grinding to hopefully get one as a drop.

Where to Get a Flame Sac

As the flame sac is an organ that contains flammable powder, it should be a clear hint that this is something that will drop from monsters that attack with fire. However, it might not be as simple as just killing one such beast.

At the moment, the best and likely only way to farm for it is by killing the Guardian Rathalos, which is a low rank monster that you will first encounter throughout the main quest storyline. If you did not manage to get it as a drop the first time around, you will have to fire up an optional hunt for it.

In the optional quests list, look for His Eternal Reign to start a hunt for thelow rank Guardian Rathalos. This quest has a chance of rewarding you with a flame sac upon completion, on top of the relatively small odds of getting it from carving the monster itself.

There is really no other option for you despite other monsters using fire-based mechanics. So, you will just have to keep fighting the Guardian Rathalos, preferably through the optional quest hunt, until you get the number of flame sacs that you need.

It should be noted that low rank is a requirement. This is because the high rank equivalent of this item is completely different and can drop from various other monsters as well.
