As previously mentioned, the sword is a bit different than other melee weapons. Other melee weapons allow you to deal damage when using their special attacks. The sword, however, will parry enemy attacks.

This unique feature is one thing that you have to master. It can come in pretty handy, especially when you’re fighting against hordes of enemies all at once. While you can just block attacks, parrying them is actually far more ideal as it lets you launch a counterattack on your enemies.

Not only that, but this also deals more damage than your regular sword attacks. The cool thing about this is that you can just spam this ability every single time. All you need to do is perform the parry once an enemy launches its attack toward you.

Another thing that you have to master while using the sword is to aim for your enemy’s head. Just like guns, hitting your enemy’s head with the sword will allow you to deal even more damage.
