Wondering which class you will play in Undecember? Do you prefer to take on enemies close and personal like a Warrior, take them from a safe distance like a Rogue, or bring down devastation on them like a Mage?

In this guide, we will show you which classes you have available for picking and what weapons to use.

Which Classes and Weapons to Choose | Class System Guide in Undecember

Technically speaking, Undecember has no hard classes in the traditional sense as most RPG games do. You do not pick up a class during character creation and then are stuck with it for the rest of the playtime.

What the game does is change your gameplay depending on which weapon you currently have equipped – so if you have a melee weapon like a sword, hammer, or axes, you are leaning towards a “Warrior” archetype kind of gameplay.

The kind of weapons you will find in Undecember are:

  • One-handed swords
  • Two-handed swords
  • Bows
  • Wands
  • Staff
  • Dagger
  • Two-handed battle axes
  • One-handed battle axes
  • Maces

Each offer a different kind of play, so try all of them and find your favorite.

As you choose a weapon, you will need to focus on one of the three stats of the game: Strength, Dexterity or Intelligence, since your damage scales off it. This focus of weapon and stat is what defines your ‘class’ without locking you into one.

Runes

The other element that defines your ‘class’ is the runes. Besides coming in the form of normal Runes and Link Runes, you will see that Runes are limited by a kind of attack. Some only work for melee attacks, other for ranged attacks and some for spells – so if you are using a sword you want to equip red runes to increase your physical damage.

However, as we mentioned before you are not locked into any class. Even using a blade and focusing mostly on red runes for melee, you can still equip spell-based runes – nothing impedes you from doing so – and have a combination of Strength and Intelligence on your stats, to play sort of a Magic Warrior.

All of your Runes come with information for what kind of weapon they can be used with, so don’t feel stuck and explore all the options available to you.
