After getting washed ashore on frog island and seeing your ship crashed, your ultimate goal in the game will be to fix it as soon as possible. However, all of the missing parts are scattered throughout various locations. Besides, you need to complete various tasks in order to get them all.

One of the missing parts you should obtain is the sail for your ship. In this guide, I’ll show you how you can get the sail and complete the various tasks leading to it.

How to Get the Sail for Your Ship in Time on Frog Island

Immediately after you reach the island on your first day, the first thing you should do is head over to the farm to grab a blue fruit. Then, go back to your camp and place it for the next day. You should start getting the sail for your ship on the second day. It’s when the painter started painting on a huge canvas.

Once that happens, speak to the painter and he will ask you for a blue grub. However, you will need a blue fruit to do so. Luckily, since you picked a blue fruit on your first day, you just have to head east from the camp until you come across some trees with grubs around them.

The reason why you want to grab the fruit on your first day is because crows will start infesting the farm on the second day. This way, you’ll no longer be able to find any fruit. Instead, you will have to go through the entire task of collecting all 3 scarecrow heads first for the crows to go away.

Until then will you be able to get another blue fruit.

On the area with the blue grubs, place the blue fruit on the ground and step back a little. In a short while, a grub will start eating it, causing it to turn blue shortly. All you need to do is grab it and then take it back to the painter.

After that, the painter will then give you the sail for your ship. Simply go back to your ship and fix the sail onto it.
