Throne & Liberty has been suffering from a sharp decline in its player count, but the new Talandre update and server merges aim to keep the overall experience as engaging as possible for those who remain. In this guide, we will give you a rundown of what to expect with the free expansion based on what we already know from the Korean servers.

Everything You Need to Know About Talandre | Pre-Release Guide

The release of the next big patch will introduce the region of Talandre, which is a huge expansion of the world map and adds a brand new grand city that acts as a main hub area for things that happen around here.

Once the update rolls out, take your time to explore this new hub area and take note of all the essentials. You are very likely going to be returning here a lot for your crafting, storing, and other needs.

As for the other sub regions surrounding it, it is mostly the same deal as the stuff you are already used to. Basically, each area is going to have distinct gear and material drops, open world events, and even bosses. As usual, you can check the map for details on all of these, including the schedule of events.

For example, the Swamp of Silence is where the Leviathan boss will spawn. This thing drops items that you will need as you progress towards the new tier of items. With server merges coming as well, be prepared to compete with many other players.

Just like in the initial release of the game, there will be open world dungeons that are going to be locked at the start until certain milestones have been met. Because of that, expect a lot of foot traffic within the very first open world dungeon during the first week or two.

Long story short, the whole gameplay loop is essentially going to be the same. The main difference is that enemies are going to be tougher by virtue of them extending into the new level cap of 55. There might be a few mechanics to learn with the new bosses, but that should be a given.

That is really all you need to keep in mind as the update approaches. While you are still waiting for it to come out, make sure to start hoarding upgrading and crafting materials to prepare for the new tier of items. They are essentially just stat upgrades, but you will need them as soon as possible if you want to grind efficiently in the new region.
