How to Get Shimmer | Seed Guide in Terraria
There are two options that you can choose from in order to obtain Shimmer. The first option is to head over to the Aether biome which is a new biome that was introduced in the 1.4.4 update. You can easily find this biome in the Underground or Cavern layers.
Meanwhile, the second option is to combine 10 Luminite Bars with a Bottomless Water Bucket in an Ancient Manipulator. This will result in a Bottomless Shimmer Bucket. However, this method is actually more challenging than just looking for the Aether biome.
After all, you have to obtain a Bottomless Water Bucket first which has several requirements. To find the Aether biome quickly, you’ll want to use the seed 2.4.1.1457507293 when creating a new world.

After loading in the new seed, open your inventory and use your Magic Conch to teleport to the farthest ocean. You want to teleport to the farthest ocean to the left, and as soon as you arrive, use your drill to dig deep straight into the ground.
Keep doing so until you reach the Caverns which will have a sizeable pool of Shimmer liquid in it.
