Pokemon Unite’s first anniversary comes with a major patch that sees a new game mechanic that lets you make your Pokemons even stronger. This new mechanic comes in the form of the Boost Emblem system.

Basically, it’s a system that provides additional bonuses to your Pokemon based on the color of the emblem and its rarity.

In this guide, I’ll show you the right way to use Boost Emblems in the game.

How to Boost Emblems the Right Way in Pokémon Unite

The game features a total of 99 Boost Emblems, and the only way to obtain these is through the Energy Rewards system. Basically, Energy Rewards can now also be used to obtain emblems, and the more  Energy Rewards you have, the more emblems you can get per day, with 30 as the maximum.

Each of the emblems is based on a Pokemon, and it comes in Bronze, Silver, and Gold rarity. Moreover, each rarity will have nine color effects for different stat bonuses. Since you can even stack them on top of each other, the more emblems you have, the better the stat bonuses will be.

You need to keep in mind that each emblem will increase a certain stat and decrease another. But out of all of them, critical hit chance is probably the most important, especially if your Pokemon has innate critical hits.

As for the colors, you want to match the color to the Pokemon the loadout is for. For example, a green emblem will increase special attack which you’d want on support Pokemons. Meanwhile, a red emblem increases basic attack speed which benefits certain Pokemons.

The other colors are white for increasing HP, black for cooldown reduction, orange for an attack bonus, purple for special defense, yellow for movement speed, bleu for defense, and pink for tenacity.

How to Properly Use the Emblems

You can only use to up 10 emblems in a single loadout. However, you can save up to a total of three loadouts. You can get a lot of combinations with just 10 slots. However, the three loadout limitation can make it hard to save various combinations.

The best way to work around this is to use the stat-optimizing builds that the game offers. After that, just add the emblems for a second or third color bonus. Of course, as you get more emblems, your customization options will increase.

As such, I highly recommend checking your loadouts from time to time for further optimization.
