The Corrupting Fever Gladiator is a pretty solid league starter that lets you run through maps pretty easily on a moderate budget.

Ever since its release, Corrupting Fever has been one of the most interesting skills gems in Path of Exile. Pair that with an ascendancy that builds around bleeds and explosions, then you have a solid mapping build. Specifically, the ascendancy I’m referring to is the Gladiator.

The Corrupting Fever Gladiator lets you clear packs of monsters on maps with ease. But how exactly is the build affected by the recent changes in patch 3.19? Let’s find out.

Corrupting Fever Glad Reworked Guide in Path of Exile

First off, the build has received some buffs and nerfs in the current update. As for the nerfs, the new patch nerfed the values of all spell suppression from gear. This means that this build will be quite difficult to reach 100% spell suppression without making a ton of investment. Instead, we’ll be dropping a bit of that and will now focus more on doing more damage.

Another major highlight of this rework is that you no longer have to wait until the endgame to gear up this build. Instead, all of the items you need to run this build are now easily accessible early on.

Of course, we’re still going to shift into endgame gear once we have enough currency for meta crafting.

The problem is that this build is now mainly a league starter instead of an endgame character. You can still push it all the way to the endgame, but it will most likely cost you way more than in the previous leagues.

To compensate for the nerfs, you can now craft all of the items you require for the build pretty easily via Essences as well as Harvest crafting. Expensive crafting options are no longer necessary.

Key Takeaway

Overall, the build now deals more damage than in the previous league while still maintaining its excellent clear speed. However, you can now craft the gear you need for way cheaper.

On the downside, you can no longer use it as your main endgame character as pushing it past them will be way harder.
