If you haven’t played the Sunbreak expansion yet, then you might find that there are tons of new additions to the game. New monsters to hunt, new sets to craft, new weapon switch skills, and a whole lot more. All these can be overwhelming, so if you are to set out on a new adventure, you’ll need some tips to guide you.

Luckily, I have just the right tips to recommend. Let’s have a look at them.

Top Tips You Should Know About in Monster Hunter: Sunbreak

Sunbreak is a huge expansion, so it’s understandable that you won’t know much about it in a day or two. That said, here are some of the top tips that you’d want to check out:

Finish the Main Game

Sunbreak takes place in Elgado where new monsters are out and about. However, you need to complete the main quest in Monster Hunter Rise first before you can travel to this new area. As such, the game is designed to be for advanced players, and newcomers to the franchise might find it a bit too challenging and overwhelming.

Earn as Much Money as Possible

You’ll be needing tons of money to craft the new stuff that are introduced in Sunbreak. This is because the manufacturing costs have become way more expensive than in the base game. I highly recommend saving up at least 3-5 million zenis.

Pick a Weapon You Can Upgrade Soon

Once you start your Sunbreak adventure, you’ll find that your weapons will no longer become viable. This is because the new monsters in the expansion are way tougher than in the base game. That said, I highly recommend picking a weapon that still has the potential to evolve.

Craft the Crimson Valstrax Armor

The Crimson Valstrax armor is a decent set that gives you some decent defense stats. This is pretty great to start with in your Sunbreak adventure. After all, your armor from the base game will no longer become viable here, so no point in using them. Aim to farm Crimson Valstrax and craft its armor as quickly as possible before you go further into Sunbreak.
