Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, just like the first game, has a lot of slow and convoluted ways to train certain skills. Henry can do pretty much all of the training on his own, but certain NPCs in the game can actually help him with this for a price. What exactly does “training” in this context do, though? Well, this guide will try to answer that question for you.

What Does Training With NPCs Do?

Well, as you would expect, training with NPCs is exactly what it sounds like. You just speak to an NPC and avail of their services if they offer any. After doing so, you will gain a bit of experience in whichever skill you chose to train.

That is really all there is to it. There is no minigame or side quest to complete, it is quite literally just an EXP boost. If you have played games like Skyrim, it is exactly like that. You are basically just paying for a bit of EXP.

NPCs that can offer you some training can be found all around the map, with some of them being characters that you have already met. Bozhena, for example, will offer you some alchemy or survival training, which should have been obvious considering she teaches you some of that as a part of the main story.

The only thing to note is that each of these NPCs, no matter who they are and how generic they may be, will offer you varying Groschen prices for their training. The more expensive it is, the more EXP you will earn, as one would expect.

Some NPCs will offer you training as you naturally progress through the main story, while others might be locked behind a short task or side quest. Most of them are just kind of loitering around the map though.

If you ask us, it really is not worth it anyway. With the exception of skills like the ones for stealth, and only if you are still very early into the game, there is no point in spending ridiculous amounts of Groschen to get a bit of EXP.

Later on, once you have unlocked the second region of the game, you can start earning more money by offloading your loot at one of the best places to sell your items in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Consider progressing that far into the game before you start spending money on these services, if you ever feel the need to do so, that is.
