Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 – How to Get a Free Bed and Storage Chest

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, just like the first game, throws you back down into being an impoverished individual at the start. Luckily for you, this does not mean you have to be completely lost and living in the forests. Early in the game, you can get what is essentially a free save point and storage for your items, so here is how to get it.

How to Get a Free Bed and Storage Chest

Once the game finally opens up and lets you roam freely around the map, you will find yourself in the village of Troskowitz. Head up north to the small village of Tachov, where you will find Blacksmith Radovan.

He will give you the quest called The Blacksmith’s Son, which will essentially be your tutorial to the forging mechanic. Just follow along to learn the basics and complete the entire side quest. Upon completion, you get a bunch of useful rewards.

Once the quest is completed, Radovan will tell you that you can sleep in the chamber by the woodshed, and he even points out that there is a chest in there that you can use for storing your things. You will also gain free access to his forge at any time.

As Radovan says, your free lodging is just beside the woodshed at the south, just before the gate. It is not a particularly spacious room, but Henry needs all the help he can get at this stage of the game, so he has no right to complain.

That is all there is to it, and the game will even tell you that there are more of these to unlock all throughout the map. Beds are marked on your map, so you will have no problem finding them if you need to save the game without drinking schnapps!
