Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has a wide range of side quests to discover and complete, and they typically have optional steps that you can do along the way. In the Forbidden Fruit side quest, there is a step to find the source of infection, which is not necessarily required but you should probably do it anyway. Here is a quick guide on how to find it!

During the Forbidden Fruit side quest, there will come a point where you can go and look for the source of infection as an optional objective. If you check your map, you should be able to see where you can start your search.

As you approach the creek where you have been told to check, Henry will make a remark about how there is an unusual scent in the place where the pigs go to drink. He will say that he can smell something upstream, so follow the body of water up north.

Eventually, you are going to find some dead animals in the water. It turns out that the pigs have been drinking water that has been tainted by rotting carcasses.

That is all there is to it, really. As with a lot of the quests in this game, the solution is actually hilariously simple if you pay attention to the hints written down or even outright pointed out by Henry himself. Once the quest step has updated, just return to Gravedigger Ignatius and he will offer to give you a hand.
