At some point near the start of the Opus Magnum side quest, you will need to get a few items for the companion. Among these is a dress, which you can get through various means, though not all of which are going to be legal.

Go to Troskowitz and look for Tailor Bartoshek. If you have a lot of spare Groschen on hand, you can just buy the dress without any issues. Just purchase the Tyrol brocade cotehardie. It is not cheap, but this is the easiest way to get it while avoiding the janky stealth and suspicion mechanics.

Alternatively, you can sneak around the shopkeeper or find a way to get him to leave the building for a bit. The aforementioned dress is displayed on the table in his store, and you can just grab it if you are undetected.

You can also try to break into his house at night and steal the keys to the shop from him, or just pick the lock on the store itself. Either way, your main options here are to buy or steal it, and the quest objective should update if you got a usable dress.

And that is all you need to do in order to complete this step of the quest. It is actually hilariously simple, and the only problem you might run into is dealing with the stealth mechanics of the game, which is not the most consistent thing in the world.
