Armor Spheres are a type of material that you can use to upgrade your armor in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Upgrading a piece of armor in this way doesn’t transform it. It’ll keep its appearance, stat spread, and Skills. However, it will increase the amount of Defense it provides, making it crucial for surviving against deadly blows from the many monsters in this game. The more you upgrade, the more resilient you become!
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to start upgrading your armor with Armor Spheres.
How to Use Armor Spheres and Upgrade Armor | Monster Hunter Wilds
You unlock the ability to use Armor Spheres to upgrade armor after you complete Chapter 2-1 of the main story in Monster Hunter Wilds. At this point, Gemma will talk to you and tell you about Armor Upgrades.
Once this feature unlocks, go to Gemma at any camp and talk with her. You can now select either “Forge/Upgrade Armor” or “Upgrade From Box” to start upgrading your armor. We recommend selecting “Upgrade From Box”, as it has a cleaner interface and is easier to use.
After you select “Upgrade From Box”, you will be able to look at all of the armor pieces you have stored. Remember, the ones you have currently equipped will have a green checkmark on them. Just pick the one you wish to upgrade.
Now, you’ll need to use and spend Armor Spheres to level up your armor. Each Armor Sphere offers a certain number of Points, and different armor pieces require different amounts of Points to level up. The rarer the Armor Sphere is, the more Points it gives. Similarly, rarer armor pieces require more Points per level!
For example, a Rarity 3 Armor would require 10 Points per level. As such, it would get 1 Level for every standard Armor Sphere.
Nonetheless, you just add as many Armor Spheres as you want and need to upgrade the piece of armor, then select Upgrade. Do note you’ll need to pay a small fee of Zenny as well, which is shown under the Points requirement.
That’s all you need to know to be able to use your Armor Spheres to upgrade armor in MH Wilds. Upgrading armor is important to bolster your defenses, but remember to equip Decorations on it as well!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
