“Search Havel’s Office” is one of the objectives for the “In Vino Veritas” side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

You’ll get this objective as an alternate solution to the quest if dialogue with the innkeeper Havel fails. After failing to ingratiate yourself with Havel, you’ll still need to find out what Havel knows about the Sedletz Monastery. It’s time to rummage through his office and see if there are any documents that can help!

In this short guide, we’ll help you easily search Havel’s office so you can complete the “In Vino Veritas” quest.

How to Search Havel’s Office | Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 – “In Vino Veritas” Side Quest

For this objective, you need to go to the Hangman’s Halter Tavern in Kuttenberg. That said, you’re likely already there since the objective pops up only if you failed to make an impression on Havel, as we mentioned before.

Either way, take the stairs in the base level of the tavern and go up 2 floors.

Once you go up the stairs, go to the dark hallway to your left.

Go through the door to your right as you enter the hallway.

As soon as you enter the office, turn around and look for a black chest by the entrance. Your goal now is to open this chest! If you have a decent Stealth level, you can just lockpick the chest. It is, however, a Hard level lock. As always, we recommend checking out our lockpicking tips and tricks if you need help.

Alternatively, you can try pickpocketing Havel or the barmaids in the tavern. They should have the keys to the chest, allowing you to skip lockpicking.

Either way, open up the chest and grab the “Innkeeper Havel’s Ledgers” item from the Lore Books category. Of course, feel free to take anything else you want, but these ledgers are all you need for the quest!

So, there you have it, that’s how to search Havel’s Office during the “In Vino Veritas” quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Don’t feel bad that you didn’t impress Havel, you still got the information you needed in the end.

Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
