How to Play in Offline Mode in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds, just like past games in the franchise, can be played completely on your own. Even if you are experiencing an internet outage at the moment, you can still continue hunting stuff on your own. How to Play in Offline Mode

Whenever you start the game, you actually already have the option to pick what type of lobby you want to be in. Among these options is the “Online Single Player” option. Despite the misleading name, this is essentially the same as playing offline, and you can continue even if your internet disconnects.

If you are already in a lobby, private or otherwise, all you need to do is look for Alma and speak with her. There, you can scroll to the Change Lobby Menu tab and select “Online Single Player”, just like what you would do through the main menu.

Once you do this, you will now be in a solo lobby free from any random players running around in your camps. If you disconnect from the internet, you can also continue playing through this mode until it comes back on.

That is pretty much all there is to it. According to the support section of Capcom, specifically for this game, it is confirmed that you can play completely offline this way. You can also still use the SOS flare during a hunt, which will spawn NPC support hunters rather than calling on random players online.
