Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 heavily rewards players who pay close attention to the dialogue, written clues, or just those who think creatively while exploring this fictional depiction of Bohemia. During certain quests, there may be vague steps that can be hard to figure out. In this guide, we will briefly show you how to find the royal treasury key during the Oratores quest.

How to Get the Key to the Royal Treasury for the Oratores Quest

After progressing through a decent chunk of the main story, you will eventually start the Oratores quest. During this quest, you will be given a particularly angry letter that gives you a very vague hint of what happened to the key.

Basically, the person who previously had it just states that the key’s current whereabouts are going to be pretty unpleasant for whoever has to get it. Well, it is not really hidden far.

After you talk with Christian of Pisek and he hands you the letter, just walk back out of the building and check the outhouse right beside the stairs outside. Now, examine the hole and you will find the key right there, which Henry will pick up automatically.

That is literally all there is to it. Again, if you pay attention to the clues, you would not be confused as to why this is here. If you read the highlighted text in the quest menu, you will see that Henry says he will need to “roll up his sleeves and hold his nose” to find it.

That should be a fairly obvious, though easy to miss, hint. Christian of Pisek probably just intentionally waited for somebody else to do his dirty work for him at this point.

Now that you have the key to the royal treasury, congratulations, you can now proceed with the rest of the quest. You are barely halfway through at this point, so be ready for some more combat shortly after this!

Since you are running around in Kuttenberg, you may have started the In Vino Veritas quest as well. If you need help with that, we have a guide on how to search Havel’s office during the In Vino Veritas side quest that should nudge you in the right direction!

Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
