Read on and we’ll tell you how to clear your bounty while avoiding all of these issues.
How to Clear Bounty Without Getting Arrested | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
First things first, the best method to clear your bounty without risking an arrest will require you to join the Thieves Guild. That is in itself a fairly lengthy process. So, if you are not yet a member, check out our guide on how to join the Thieves Guild. It has all the details you need!
Now, once you’re already a member of the Thieves Guild, you just need to meet any of the guild’s doyen. That means either Armand Christophe in the Imperial City’s Waterfront District or S’Krivva in Bravil.
If you wish to avoid detection by guards, it’s easier to reach Armand Christophe. Just start by fast traveling to Dzonot Cave on the southwestern corner of the Imperial City and then swim to the Imperial City’s Waterfront District.
Armand will be in the same spot where you met him to join the Thieves Guild. Just speak with him and ask him to pay off your fines and bounty. He’ll ask you to pay half of your current bounty as compensation, so keep that in mind. Nonetheless, this is much cheaper than paying the bounty and also has no risk of getting arrested!
Alternatively, you can also ask Imperial Guards to let you off. However, that requires all of these conditions to be met:
The guard who tries to arrest you should have 90 or more Disposition.
You need to have less than 100 Infamy.
Your total bounty should be less than 1000 Gold.
If you meet all of these conditions, the guard will just say you’re friends and will turn a blind eye. He’ll also clear the bounty for you, letting you go scott-free!
So, there you have it, that’s every way to clear your bounty without getting arrested in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
