Grand Theft Auto V has recently started its Lunar New Year event just in time for the upcoming festivities, and it includes all sorts of free rewards that players can earn by simply playing the game and doing certain tasks. In this guide, we will be going through the steps you need to follow in order to get the Lunar New Year Snake Livery as well as how and where you can use it.

How to Unlock the Lunar New Year Snake Livery

Simply put, all you need to do to get this livery is to participate in any of the Lunar New Year stunt races. To do this, open the menu and then navigate to the Online tab, and then scroll down to “Jobs”.

Then, navigate to the “Rockstar Created” category and look for the Stunt Races tab. Here, just play any of the Lunar New Year tracks at least once. You only need to play one of them a single time, no need to grind or play all three if you do not have time to do so.

You do not get the unlock immediately upon completion! Players have noted that you need to wait around 72 hours before it becomes unlocked for your account. To be on the safe side, you may as well play all the races while waiting, just in case.

Just in case you do not already have it, you will also need the Maibatsu Penumbra FF car. You can get it through the Southern San Andreas Super Autos store under the “2 Door” category.

During the event, the Maibatsu Penumbra FF is conveniently on sale for $966,000, which is significantly cheaper than the regular price. Once you have it, fire up one or all of the stunt races and just blast through them as quickly as you can!

And that is really all there is to it, so get out there and start doing those stunt races with the Maibatsu Penumbra FF! If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
