The Cloud Retainer’s Damasked Device is a gadget companion that you can obtain via an in-game event. Unlike other gadgets, however, this one is a bit unique as it’s actually not a true gadget. What this means is that you can still use regular gadgets while this is around.

As mentioned, you can obtain this item for free via an in-game event. The event is none other than Of Travels and Treasures: A Thank You Gift which is a new event for Genshin Impact 3.1.

Luckily, you don’t really have to do any quests or take part in any activity. You just have to update your game to 3.1 and check your in-game mail. Inside the mail, you’ll find a mail with the title of the event.

Open the mail, and inside, it will contain 400 Primogems and the Cloud Retainer’s Damasked Device.

All you need to do is claim the gifts. Afterward, open your inventory, look for the new item, and equip it. It’s as simple as that!
