The new Titan Takedown event for Fortnite allows you to become the legendary Godzilla and wreak havoc.
Yes, you really do become Godzilla! It’s not a skin or anything like that. You’ll get to control the massive legendary kaiju itself, becoming a powerful boss. Of course, other players will be eager to try taking you down in this form… but they’ll need luck on their side to win!
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to do to become Godzilla during the Titan Takedown event in Fortnite Battle Royale.
How to Become Godzilla | Fortnite: Titan Takedown Event
You can become Godzilla in Fortnite by entering any of the Godzilla Portals that spawn randomly as part of the Titan Takedown event. There’s a 40% chance for a Godzilla Portal to spawn during Storm Phase 1. When a portal appears, you’ll get a warning notification like the one shown above.
If a Godzilla Portal doesn’t appear after about 3 minutes and 45 seconds into the match, you can leave the match. It won’t spawn later during the match.
As soon as you see the notification, check your map in-game. You should see a triangular portal icon with a silhouette of Godzilla, like the one in the example above. This marks the exact location of the Godzilla Portal. As you might imagine, the portal’s exact location is random and changes every match.
Once you reach the Godzilla Portal, you just need to walk through it. You’ll automatically become Godzilla and an animation of your descent onto the island will play. You can now use Godzilla’s three mighty powers:
Atomic Breath (R2 / RT / Left Mouse) – Godzilla lets out a powerful laser breath from its mouth. You can’t turn quickly while firing, but it deals massive damage.
Roar (X / A / Space Bar) – Let out a fearsome roar that reveals all nearby players.
Stomp (L2 / LT / Right Mouse) – Stomp the ground to deal solid damage in a wide radius. Can send players flying and also wrecks buildings.
That’s all there is to know about how to become Godzilla in Fortnite during the Titan Takedown Event! Keep in mind that only one player can become Godzilla at a time. You’ll need to race others to the Godzilla Portal! That said, fighting Godzilla is a good idea if you’re late. It’ll count for other quests in the event.
