This way, it will be easier for your player to set and condition their mind in their practices.
In Football Manager 2023, you will be tasked to manage everything that concerns the preparation and training of your football players. Why? Because we don’t want to bring a knife to a gunfight, right?
By providing your player a proper training and a perfect set of coaches, they will be well-equipped during competitions.
Why Training is Important | Training Guide in Football Management 2023
In this guide, we will tell you how you can effectively organize the schedule of the players. We will talk about the training but we will give more focus on the schedules and coaches.
Let’s get going!
To start off, go to the Training tab. When you are there, you can see drop-down panels at the top. Look for the Schedules.
The first thing that you have to know is about the training intensities. When you have already come to the Schedule panel, you will see another drop-down list on the upper left side.
Here you can see the different aspects that you can emphasize in your training. You can also adjust the intensity from light to heavy.
For the pre-season training, it is suggested to choose either the Tactical or Technical for the middle section. And then what you didn’t choose in the middle section, choose for the late part.
This means that you can make these combinations: Tactical-Mid and Technical-late or Technical-Mid and Tactical-Late.
The next one is Tactical Play wherein you can choose what time of play you want your players to do during their practice.
For example, you want your players to have Wing Play, this way can help your players to be familiar with and fully aware of what needs to be done when this play is made.
The next one here is the Scenario. In this section, you can choose from the four cases that you want your players to do. You can see the Big Match Preparation, Fixture Congestion, Boot Camp, and Full Week of Rest. Of course, these players also have to include rest and boot camps in their schedule aside from all the training sessions.
Obviously, the Big match Preparation should be chosen if there is an upcoming match for your team.
Upon choosing this, you will have to organize all the activities that must be done on each day of the week.
You can tweak the activities by clicking it and then choosing from the panel that will pop up on the screen. Make sure that the activities will be useful in facing the expected opponents.
The next one will be Fixture Congestion wherein you will have a schedule for a 3-week-long training with rests in between. As shown in the picture, the Recovery is essential to be placed in between matches after one day.
The boot camp section will be just like focusing on your pre-season schedule. You will let them perform different activities that can enhance their skills such as their resistance, endurance, physical, etc.
In simple words, this is the part wherein your players undergo conditioning of their physical fitness.
This could possibly be the most awaited part of the players. It is a full week of rest.
After weeks of having a bunch of rigorous training, it is just right to give them some good rest. Doing this can decrease your fatigue and increase your conditioning. However, it also decreases team cohesion and sharpness.
On the other hand, it is still important to get moving while taking a rest. That being said, in one of these slots, you can add an Extra-Curricular. You can choose between Team Bonding and Community Outreach.
Another thing that you should learn is assigning coaches. You can see it in the last part of the list from the upper tabs.
To reassign and shuffle coaches, look on the right-hand side and click Edit Coach Assignments.
In this part, you can see the list of names of all the coaches available, and the responsibilities that they should handle such as gatekeeping, defending, attacking, possession, and fitness. All this information is written in a table format.
For you to know which coach is the best fit for the particular field, click the person and you will see all the stats and information below. With these data, you can use these to appoint them perfectly.
For example, it is shown in the picture that L. Buenaventura has 20 in Fitness. This automatically means that he is the most appropriate coach for their fitness training. Assign him here by ticking the respective box for this. In doing this, you will get 5 stars for his efficiency in coaching.
Given that L. Buenaventura is already assigned for fitness, adding more training under him will reduce the star. This is because the coach can also get tired which can eventually reduce the efficiency of the training.
