Find a Way to Cause a Distraction | FNAF Into The Pit Guide
The objective to “Find a Way to Cause a Distraction” will pop up during Night 2. You’ll get it after you ask Jeff for a slice of pizza to help you deal with the animatronics in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. However, since he refused your request, you should instead find a way to distract him. To start, leave Jeff’s Pizza and go to The Mill.

Once you are at The Mill, check the leftmost side of the area. You should spot a Rat Trap there, pick it up. If it’s not there, you might already have it if you explored The Mill thoroughly. It was available during Night 1 as well, so check your inventory.
Now, go back to Jeff’s Pizza and use the ball pit to enter Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.
Next up you need to make your way to the Party Hallway within Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. It’s the central room on the map, as shown above. Just be careful of the roaming animatronics and Spring Bonnie as you walk across the pizzeria.
Find the interactable spot on the rightmost side of the Party Hallway. Use the Rat Trap there. The rat isn’t stupid enough to come out while you’re still in the room, though, so you’ll need to leave the Party Hallway and enter it again.
You should be able to pick up the Rat Trap once you return to the room. It will now be closed, having successfully captured the roaming rat. That’s all you need to start causing a distraction, so use the ball pit again to return to Jeff’s Pizza.
Setting the Rat Loose
Now that you have a pet rat, go to the rightmost side of the Dining Area in Jeff’s Pizza. You’ll notice a lone woman sitting at one of the tables, talking on her phone. Interact with her and use the Trapped Rat to release your rat.
The woman will become extremely agitated and Jeff will move over to try to hunt down the poor rat. Now’s your chance! Quickly rush over to the kitchen while Jeff is away.
Lastly, interact with the box of pizza on the back wall to pick up a Slice of Pizza. You now have what you wanted to distract the animatronics in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, completing the “Find a Way to Cause a Distraction” objective in FNAF Into the Pit!
