You’ll need to find a shady guy named Goatskin as part of the “Into the Underworld” quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Henry is trying to find out about Hans’ whereabouts. What better place to ask, then, than the spies and criminals in Kuttenberg? After all, they always have their ear to the ground on everything that happens. Goatskin, dimwitted as he might be, is one such helpful criminal. You just need to find him!

In this guide, we’ll tell you two possible methods to find Goatskin as part of the “Into the Underworld” main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Find Goatskin Guide | Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 – “Into the Underworld” Quest

You can easily find Goatskin in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 hiding in a barn close to Kuttenberg’s Tailor. This is basically smack dab in the middle of the search area you’re given for the quest. We’ve marked it on the map above for you. To be able to find Goatskin, make sure you do this during the daytime.

Do note, that you can do this either before or after meeting with his girlfriend, Mary, at the City Bathhouse. However, whether you do or don’t meet her doesn’t matter much. You’ll still need to find the barn on your own and find a way to enter it.

Now, to find Goatskin’s hiding spot, go down the alley to the Tailor and continue south. Enter the barn there and climb the ladder directly in front of you as you enter.

Once you climb the ladder, turn around and reach the opening on the northwestern side of the barn. Go through and drop down onto the adjacent barn.

After you drop down, climb the next ladder directly in front of you.

Then, go through the opening directly in front of you to get back outside the barn. At this point, you should notice a wood cart in front of an open window. Jump on the wood cart and use it to reach the open window, then climb inside.

As soon as you climb up, a conversation will automatically begin. It seems you’ve found good ol’ Goatskin’s hiding spot!

Alternative Nighttime Method

Aside from finding Goatskin’s hiding spot during the day, you can also find him by triggering a specific event at nighttime. For this method, you’ll need to meet with a German merchant, Udo von Tauberbischofsheim. You can find him drinking at the City Bathhouse in Kuttenberg at nighttime. We’ve marked it above for you.

Once you find the merchant, talk with him. Pick “I think you should go home” and then try to convince him to leave. You get three different skillchecks here, pick whichever one is easiest for your version of Henry. Generally speaking, telling him that “the place is closing” is the easiest, as it just needs 18 Intimidation.

If you successfully convince the merchant, he’ll leave the bathhouse and walk home. Follow him and he’ll eventually cross paths with Goatskin. Do remember to use a torch so that you don’t get accosted by guards on the way.

Now, Goatskin will attempt to rob the merchant. You can talk with either Goatskin or the merchant to stop the robbery. Henry will just send Udo home and initiate a conversation with Goatskin. Objective completed!

So, there you have, that’s everything you need to know to find Goatskin easily in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Now you can talk with him and get information to continue the “Into the Underworld” quest.
