Disney Dreamlight Valley is a life simulation game. This obviously means that you’ll be getting a ton of items as you play the game. However, those items can add up pretty quickly, and before you realize it, you’re already running out of storage space.

Luckily, the game will give you a house from the beginning so you can sort your stuff. But then again, it can get crowded pretty easily. This is why you want to add a second floor to your house to increase your storage.

This guide will show you how to do it.

How to Add a Second Floor to Your House in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Adding a second floor to your house is pretty simple. To do this, all you have to do is talk to Scrooge McDuck. However, there are several requirements you need to meet first before you can do so.

First, you want to complete the Grand Reopening quest from Scrooge McDuck. This will unlock his shop where you can buy a handful of items.

After that, you need to complete the Valley Economics 101 quest. Once you completed the quest, make sure to talk to Scrooge to unlock an elevator inside your building. This also lets you upgrade your new house.

Next, you need to buy an additional room and spend at least 1,000 coins for Scrooge McDuck to reappear. You’ll find him outside of your house, and he will then sell you various exterior expansions. All you need to do is purchase two house expansions from him.

The first expansion will cost you 2,000 coins while the second expansion will cost you 20,000 coins. You’ll be able to unlock the second floor of your house after buying the second expansion. After that, you’re then free to decorate the floor however you want.
