AION 2 finally got announced, and you might be wondering what are all the classes that can be expected at launch. After all, the original AION had a pretty sizeable number of classes. Which ones made the cut for this sequel? Are there any new ones? Well, this quick article will answer all of these questions for you!

All Classes Expected at Launch | AION 2

Based on what’s announced so far, there will be 8 different classes that we can expect on launch day for AION 2. They’re based on classes from the original AION, although the developers have yet to give us all the details on how they’ll play. Of course, we imagine they’ll play quite differently from how they do in AION, but they’ll likely keep the general role fantasy of each class.

Nonetheless, these are all the 8 confirmed classes for launch:

  • Gladiator – A tank who relies on life-steal for sustain and survival. Has great area-of-effect attacks, as well.
  • Templar – The most traditional tank archetype possible. Uses a shield to mount a stalwart defense.
  • Assassin – Very agile, great for dealing high damage and quickly moving around the battlefield. Primarily meant to go behind enemies to attack from behind.
  • Ranger – A bow user that attacks from a safe distance, sniping enemies with precise shots.
  • Spiritmaster – They can summon spirits to help in combat. In this game, they seem to have been retooled to mainly focus on solo combat.
  • Sorcerer – Capable of dishing out massive damage in bursts with powerful spells.
  • Cleric – The token main healer, this class is mostly meant to be played in groups.
  • Chanter – A more hybrid style of support class. Can provide buffs and heal allies as well.

That’s sadly all we know about all of the classes that are expected at launch for AION 2. There aren’t many details about how they will play out currently. Nonetheless, this should give you an idea of what to expect on day 1 for the game.
