ARK Fjordur: Where to Find Basilisk | Locations Guide
The Basilisk is one of the Creatures in the Aberration expansion for ARK: Survival Evolved. Serpens regulus is the biggest and most dangerous snake in Ark Fjordur.
Unless it’s in the middle of a conflict, you’re unlikely to observe a basilisk slithering across the ground. The basilisks in Ark Survival Evolved are largely concealed below, but you can glimpse a little mound of soil with strange tiny whiskers that detect prey.
However, be prepared for a battle if you disturb a basilisk. They have a lot of health and might poison you, so be cautious when searching for them or simply being in the volcano biome.

Surprisingly, survivors have not only tamed but even ridden a Basilisk. Some people can even sit as it waits below ground, though it’s not a pleasant experience. It has a formidable bite, with a deadly venom oozing from its fangs and a more draconic skull than serpentine.
Moreover, basilisk can hunt in a way that most snakes can’t: by digging because to the peculiar form of its head. It merely waits for its prey to arrive once it is underground. Fortunately, its forked tail can generally be seen sticking aboveground.
The Lost Island
The volcanoes are home to all the basilisks on the Lost Island. The basilisk is an uncommon species on the Lost Island, so I thought I’d share some of the places where I’ve seen them spawn.
Of course, they aren’t guaranteed to spawn there, but it may assist you in your hunt. The hunt for the basilisk on the Lost Island is crucial since you’ll need their scales as a tribute to summon the boss to fight.
