Getting a 5-Star weapon can improve a character’s damage and make battles end that much faster. Once you reach Union Level 45 you can claim a 5 Star selector box. We are here to help you make the right choice and choose the best one for you.

Considering The Tower of Adversity

The Tower of Adversity is where your builds and skills are going to be challenged over and over again. The tower will test the strength of your characters builds and your team composition.

Here, you’ll set up three teams with three resonators in each. A feature that Wuthering Waves has also implemented is the sharing of equipment, meaning, you can share weapons between floors.

Keeping that in mind, with the current number of characters who are DPS, there are a few things you can consider before choosing which weapon you’ll pick.

Strongest DPS (as of right now)

The top three could be considered are:

Jiyan

• Rarity: 5- Star
• Type- Aero
• Weapon- BroadBlade

Calcharo

• Rarity: 5- Star
• Type- Electro
• Weapon- BroadBlade

Encore

• Rarity: 5- Star
• Type- Fusion
• Weapon- Rectifier

With how the game is now, you can get 2 out of the above 3 almost instantly on the first day you start playing. You need luck when pulling on the Novice Convene banner. Upon starting the game you’re given 40 Lustrous Tides, which you can use on the Novice Convene Banner to guarantee at least one 5-Star Resonator. You’re also given a card for a free 5-star Character of your choice, which you can use in the Convene menu.

In this regard getting the Lustrous Razor (BroadBlade) would be the better option, especially if you don’t have Jiyan’s Signature weapon. But only if you have both Jiyan and Calcharo. However, since it doesn’t have a Crit.Stat, it would be more difficult hitting higher damage without good support. The three resonators, mentioned above, aren’t the only strongest in the game, just the top three right now, and it doesn’t make the rest of the characters any less effective in battle.

The Number of Resonators That Can Use a Specific Weapon

Again, With The Tower of Adversity in mind, since players are able to share equipment between floors, having a 5-star weapon that can be used amongst the majority of the resonators can be useful in dealing better damage. This too is dependent on the characters that you possess. The number of resonators with a certain type of weapon might fluctuate and increase by the time you get the 5-Star Weapon Box.

The Emerald of Genesis is currently the best sword to go for as it is the best weapon for a lot of characters.

It provides good Attack stats and more importantly, it prioritizes Crit Rate.

Who’s Your Main?

It all comes down to which resonator… resonates with you and what you prioritize. There’s no one good answer. It depends on your builds, your comps, and how much fun you have playing a certain resonator. It is a decision and Kuro Games are generous enough to have the Weapon Permanent Convene where you can choose a path and eventually accumulate to get that certain 5-star using Lustrous Tides and at 80 pulls that weapon is guaranteed.

Focus on what kind of gameplay experience you want from the game and go with your gut. You’re always going to get another chance to get more weapons as you accumulate Lustrous Tides and Forging Tides throughout the game. Union Level 45 takes a while to get to and this decision, contrary to some opinions, will not ruin your account. Have fun and enjoy adventuring, farming, and showing off those dodging skills.
