Icarus – Best Talents for Missions & Open World | New Talents Guide

Solo Talent Tree

Some of the bad talents include:

  • Steel Ankles
  • 10 Food Effectiveness Duration
  • Harder to Detect When Sneaking
  • Yield from Foraging, Increased Yields from Hunting
  • Efficient Home Maintenance.

These talents are not worth the talent points as they are not very useful for mission-based game modes.

On the other hand, some of the good talents include:

  • Extra Melee Damage
  • Increased Health Regen and Max HP
  • Move Speed
  • Extra Stamina
  • Stamina Regeneration
  • Extra Yield from Felling Trees
  • Miner’s Reward
  • Spears Talent
  • Bow Talons
  • Gun Talents
  • Health Monitor

These talents are great for mission-based game modes as they can help you complete missions faster and more efficiently. The Miner’s Reward talent is especially useful as it can save you time by giving you extra yield from mining. The Health Monitor talent is also very powerful as it allows you to see animal health bars, which can help you spot them farther away and make hunting easier.

Survival Tree

The Survival Tree in Icarus is a great way to get some extra bonuses that can help you out in your missions. The first set of talents in this tree are all optional, but they can be very useful.

The first one is Lumber Yield, which gives you more wood when you chop down trees. This is great for when you need to gather a lot of wood quickly.

Mining Yield is also beneficial, as it gives you more ore when you mine ore deposits.

Weight Capacity and Over Encumbrance Penalty are also great talents to have, as they reduce the penalty for being overweight and make it easier to carry more items.

Yield from Foraging is also a nice talent to have, but it’s not the best one to take as it doesn’t give you a lot of resources.

Moving further down the tree, we have Mining More Oxide, which gives you a chance to find additional resources when mining. This is usually in the form of stone, which is already easy enough to get.

Wasted Not is also a nice talent to have, as it gives you a chance to find additional resources when mining.

Carry Weight for Exotics is also a nice talent to have, but it’s not necessary unless you’re specifically going into a mission to get Exotics.

The next set of talents are all very useful. Carry Weight Reduction for Stone, Ores, and Wood are all great talents to have, as they reduce the amount of weight you have to carry.

Metal Miner gives you a 20% yield from mining iron, which is the most commonly used ore.

Movement Speed while Carrying Exotics is also a nice talent to have, as it increases your movement speed while carrying Exotics.

The last set of talents are arguably the best in the entire tree.

Seasoned Logsman gives you a chance to instantly gather all the resources from a tree, which can save you a lot of time.

Perilous Lumberjack and Lucky Strike both give you a 1% chance to instantly mine an entire ore deposit, which can be very useful.

All in all, the Survival Tree in Icarus is a great way to get some extra bonuses that can help you out in your missions.

Exploration Skills

The Exploration tree in Icarus is a great way to customize your character and make them more powerful.

There are some great talents in this tree, such as Extra Move Speed, which allows you to cover long distances quickly in missions.

Pack Lightly is also useful, as it gives you extra weight capacity.

Cooking and Farming Skills

İf you’re planning to build a big farm in your home world or in other words your open world mode, then this tree could be useful. However, outside of that, this tree is pretty much garbage.

The only talent that could be worth it is the Dried Meat Modifier Effectiveness. This is one of the few talents that could be worth it if you always go for dried meat in your missions. There is also a Vegetarian talent that could be useful if you’re finding yourself eating a lot of fruit and vegetables.

Husbandry Skills

The only talent that is worth investing in is the Stamina Regen, as it allows you to get across the map faster and get to the things you want to get to. The other talents, such as tamed creature bonuses and saddle crafting costs, are not worth investing in as most people won’t be taming mounts in the first place.

Combat Tree

The Combat Tree in Icarus has a lot of viable options. We would recommend investing in Bow, Spears, Blades, or Thrown Spears. All three of these talent trees are almost identical, as the developers are trying to make every weapon viable.

The main argument for each tree is that Blades are good if you want to have a melee and thrown weapon that you can craft in your game.

Spears are good if you want to try to one-shot most animals and have a bit more reach on your weapon.

Bows are good if you want to take out your enemies from a distance and never want to engage in melee.
