Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Change Your Pet Companion

One of the most adorable parts of the Disney Dreamlight Valley game is the pet system. Basically, this system allows you to bring a pet with you on your journey. However, there can be instances when you want to try bringing another companion instead.

If that’s the case, then this guide will help you learn how you can change them with ease.

How to Change Your Pet Companion in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Before you can get the ability to change pets, you should first complete the game’s tutorial. Luckily, it won’t take you long to finish it, and it just involves meeting Merlin to clear up some bushes in your house.  

After progressing through the game a little bit, you’ll eventually get the option to change your pets. To do so, simply upon your inventory. The hotkey will depend on which platform you’re playing on. For PC, it’s the I key while it’s Y for Xbox and X for Nintendo Switch.

In the inventory, navigate to the Wardrobe tab. However, we won’t be changing outfits this time. Instead, this is where you can find the companions that you have. You’ll find a list of options in the Wardrobe tab, but you just have to choose the Companions section.

Then, simply pick the companion you want to take with you. You should be able to immediately see the changes on the right side of your screen.
