You’ll probably notice in the ‘Shop’ that you can purchase Red Nucleus – 10 for 980 Tanium, or you can pay cash (depending on your country the price may vary). However, we will be exploring how to actually farm Red Nucleus for free, via the route of farming dark crystal.

In the shop, you’ve likely also noticed that you can purchase Red Nucleus by using 150 dark crystals. These can be easily obtained throughout your journey in Tower of Fantasy – without having to pay for anything. Here’s how to get free Red Nucleus.

How to Get Free Red Nucleus in Tower of Fantasy – Through Dark Crystal

There are countless ways to farm and boost your count of dark crystals in Tower of Fantasy, and we outline some of the absolute best below.

From the “Mission Terminal,” you can access the ‘Chronicles’ tab. From here, access the ‘Travel Log,’ which once you discover the specific “investigation” point indicated in the log, will enable you to claim a reward of 20 dark crystals total. This applies to every region.

Again, enter the Menu and go to “Terminal.” Click on the “Story” tab this time. Each story tab is divided into specific portions, and completing each portion (I.E. Chapter 1-03) will raise the total chapter completion closer to 100%, while unlocking side quests.

You’ll have to complete these side quests as well to reach total 100% completion. You’ll notice that after reaching a certain percentage point on your journey for each chapter, you’ll be able to open each of the corresponding reward chests – these will contain 50 dark crystals each.

We also have ‘Achievements.’ From the “Terminal,” go to “Achievements,” and here while browsing each tab, you’ll notice you are able to claim specific rewards corresponding to specific tasks completed in-game.

The categories under this “Achievements” tab include rewards specific to things such as: “Exploration, Battle, Missions, Social Networking, and Growth.”

Exiting out of the ‘Terminal,’ one of the best ways throughout your journey is via exploration of the ‘Strongholds.’

Defeat all the enemies in the region, then locate the supply pods – inside golden pods, you’ll find 50 dark crystals, while the purple pods will grant you 20 dark crystals. In each area, you’ll be able to find 40-50 pods total, which grants a ton of dark crystal; rack these up to splurge on some Red Nucleus without having to pay a real-world cent!
