Retreat to Enen: Beginner’s Guide | Everything You Need to Know
Retreat to Enen is a tranquil survival game. However, it’s actually a rather difficult one, and as a beginner, you need to equip yourself with enough knowledge to beat the game.
From the surface, Retreat to Enen appears like your standard survival game. However, despite its tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, the game is actually quite hard. In fact, you’re racing against time to make sure that you survive day by day.
So if you’re a complete beginner who decides to play the game blind, you’ll most likely get confused with how deceptively challenging the game is. This is why I have created this beginner’s guide to make your first few hours in Retreat to Enen a little bit more manageable. Let’s get started.
Beginner’s Guide | Everything You Need to Know in Retreat to Enen
Without further ado, here are the top tips that you need to know in order to survive in Retreat to Enen as a complete beginner:
Make it a Habit to Always Save
This might sound like a no-brainer, but you’ll actually be surprised to find out how many times you’ll forget to save in the game. The game will let you save any time of the day as long as you build a shelter, so make it a habit to always save before you head out for an adventure.
Sticks are Your Bestfriend
While they might be one of the most basic resources, they’re actually quite vital for your survival. You will be needing sticks, tons of them, to craft various base building parts. Not only that, but you will also need sticks to craft various crafting stations.
The best part is that you can find lots of them lying around on the ground. So, make sure to pick up every single stick you come across. You’ll never know when you’ll need a lot of it.
Get into Cooking as Soon as Possible
There’s only so much nutrition that you can get from eating fruits. While they provide a little bit of sustenance, their effects won’t be able to last very long. Instead, what you have to do is make a cooking pot in order to gain access to various recipes.
By cooking recipes, you can have a more steady supply of food and nutrition which you’ll need to survive. Not only that, but having a pot nearby will actually help you fend off hypothermia. The campfire alone won’t be able to do that.
Kill Everything that Moves
This basically pertains to creatures that you will encounter in the game. Killing them will let you harvest their meat which is one of the better resources in the game for staving off hunger and replenishing your health.
Craft the Water Container Right Away
If possible, craft a water container as soon as you can in order to gain access to fresh water. You want to avoid drinking water that hasn’t been purified as it can contain microbes which can only make survival a lot harder.
